His saliva allegedly returned a positive result and two more officers were called to assist in impounding his Porsche.
Within minutes of the second patrol car arriving, a refrigerated truck being driven by Cranbourne man Mohinder Singh Bajwa struck the three cars and the four officers.
Pusey avoided the crash and fled the scene unharmed.
It’s now believed he was urinating at the side of the road when the truck hit the cars.

Before he ran, however, police allege he took “graphic” photographs of the scene and shared them on Facebook.
He also allegedly showed them to staff at a Chemist Warehouse in Collingwood the following morning, who called police.
Officers arrested him at the Smith Street store about 9.30am on Thursday.
Police were seen at his Fitzroy home later in the afternoon to collect evidence.

Pusey was on bail and due to front court in the coming days.
Police said he was set to face court for unlawful assault and theft charges before the end of the month.
He was also on summons to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court in June for a charge of criminal damage.
Meanwhile, details regarding the four officers who lost their lives in the line of duty have been released.
They are Leading Senior Constable Lynette Taylor, Constable Glen Humphris, Senior Constable Kevin King and Constable Josh Prestney.

“They made an oath to serve the Victorian community and they did that oath proud,” Police Association Secretary Wayne Gatt said.
Investigations continue into how the crash occurred.
Chief Commissioner Graham Ashton said Bajwa suffered a “medical episode” immediately after the crash.
He remains in hospital under police guard.7 news.
