HOUSTON MAYOR DECLARES OCTOBER 2 AS DEPUTY SANDEEP DHALIWAL DAY!

Deputy Sandeep Singh Dhaliwal, who was killed during a traffic stop in northwest Houston, Texas on 9/27, joined the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in 2009. In 2015, he secured a historic, first of its kind accommodation to wear his Sikh articles of faith while serving. As he rose through the ranks, Deputy Dhaliwal was beloved by his colleagues and the Houston community–and he was widely regarded as a role model for Sikhs and other religious minorities wishing to serve their communities in law enforcement.

During the 10/2 memorial service, Mayor Turner of Houston announced that October 2nd will forever be known as Deputy Sandeep Dhaliwal Day in the city of Houston.

Porsche driver Richard Pusey avoided Eastern Freeway crash because he was ‘urinating on the side of the road’ A Highway Patrol car pulled him over and carried out a drug test. His saliva allegedly returned a positive result and two more officers were called to assist in impounding his Porsche. Within minutes of the second patrol car arriving, a refrigerated truck being driven by Cranbourne man Mohinder Singh Bajwa struck the three cars and the four officers. Pusey avoided the crash and fled the scene unharmed. It’s now believed he was urinating at the side of the road when the truck hit the cars. Eastern Freeway Crash: Drugs and ice pipe allegedly found inside cabin of truck Mohinder Singh Bajwa is facing questioning following the deaths of four police officers on a Melbourne freeway.  Credit: AAP/7NEWS Drugs and an ice pipe were allegedly found inside the cabin of a truck involved in a fatal crash on a Melbourne freeway, police have revealed. Police commissioner Graham Ashton has revealed Mohinder Singh Bajwa is facing questioning by homicide detectives. He has been at the Royal Melbourne Hospital since the accident on Wednesday night which left four police officers dead. Bajwa’s truck reportedly came off the Eastern Freeway while travelling at 100kph, colliding with the officers who had pulled over a Porsche in the emergency lane.
