Mum gets 20 years for beating malnourished two-year-old son to death because he wouldn't eat his hotdog
A young American mum will spend almost 20 years behind bars for her part in the death of her own two-year-old son, who was brutally beaten when he refused to eat his hotdog.
Kansas woman Elizabeth Woolheater pleaded guilty in August to second-degree murder and two counts of child abuse in relation to the death of her son Anthony Bunn, The Wichita Eagle reports.

On Friday the 24-year-old was sentenced to 19 years and five months in prison over the sickening attack on the little boy.
Breakfast beating
Citing court documents, the paper reports that Woolheater told police she "lost it" because Tony would not swallow the pieces of hotdog she was trying to feed him for breakfast.
So she slapped him across the face and then hit him again as her boyfriend Lucas Diel held the food to Tony's face.
Woolheater then claims that she left the room and could hear Diel beating her little boy.
